We're proud to announce that DB42 by Gushiku Studios is now available on the Android Market, and its packed with the power of the Swarm SDK!
DB42 is a well-crafted 2D platform-style puzzle game. "Dust Bin Designation 42" aka DB42 is a lowly service droid that knows he's destined for greater things. It's up to the player to guide the droid through a series of ever more complex puzzles. The mastermind behind DB42 Lite has also cleverly put together a story that unfolds throughout each level. The lively story is injected with entertaining bits of humor that are sure to make you chuckle. Furthermore, DB42 implements excellent physics thanks to Box2D and smooth OpenGL graphics courtesy of LibGDX.
We're incredibly excited that DB42 showcases the power of Swarm's Leaderboards to allow players to compete from anywhere in the world. The game also makes use of Swarm's Achievements system that enables players to earn points for accomplishing a variety of fun tasks. Both the Leaderboards and Achievements are sure to keep players coming back for more. We've also heard rumors that implementation of Cloud Data is in the works, but we'll have to wait and see!
When we asked Tim, the lead developer at Gushiku Studios, about his impressions of the Swarm SDK, he had some very positive things to say. Tim responded by saying, "I'm EXTREMELY happy with your response time and the overall Swarm API." He then went on to mention that "Integration [of Swarm] into my game was a breeze. I couldn't ask for it to be any simpler." Thanks Tim!
We strongly encourage gamers and developers alike to download DB42 from the Android Market!
